When I read the posts on the master's X account, many of them convey the sentiment, "I'm unemployed, and it's freeing and fun!"
I can understand the "fun" part, but I'm not quite sure about the "free" part.
I can't quite imagine what state of being is referred to as "free."
So, I searched for the term "freedom" on the internet and found various explanations.
- Economic Freedom, Freedom of Residence and Movement, and Economic Freedom Guaranteed by the Constitution
- This might be the fundamental idea behind the master's "freedom," but it's unlikely they're posting constitutional theories.
- "Selfishness" and "Self-Centeredness"
- The master's actions aren't "selfish" or "self-centered." Besides, terms like "selfish" and "self-centered" assume the presence of a group, so this isn't it.
- Freedom Means Taking Responsibility for Oneself
- While it's true that it involves taking responsibility for oneself, the master's posts about "freedom" don't seem to be discussing responsibility.
- Freedom Is a State Where One Can Behave as They Wish and Act According to Their Heart's Desires
- This seems quite close to the master's idea of "freedom," but it still feels a bit off.
- Freedom Means the Absence of Restraints and Obstacles, No Binding or Restrictions
- This is it, I thought.
The master often posts, "I'm unemployed, and it's freeing and fun!" If we were to elaborate on this, it might look something like this:
"During my time as an office worker, I had to go to work every day, produce results, and follow various rules. However, once I quit my job and became unemployed, all those restraints and constraints disappeared.
During my time as an office worker, I was full of restraints and constraints, but I didn't realize it. I noticed it only after quitting my job."
Living in a rent-free share house run by such a master is not only financially beneficial due to the "rent-free" aspect but also has a significant effect in terms of "being liberated from restraints and constraints = gaining freedom."
There are people who reply to the master's posts saying, "If I lose my income, I'll escape to the rent-free share house!"
Of course, I'm not denying its role as a shelter, but that's not the essence.
The proposal is for a new lifestyle: "Living in a rent-free share house means you can live freely without income, liberated from restraints and constraints."
Perhaps once you experience living there, you won't be able to escape the freedom it offers.
Many residents seem to say, "I never want to work for a company again."
The life in the rent-free share house offers that much freedom. Conversely, it might be that being an office worker comes with an unimaginable amount of restraints and constraints.
Thank you for reading to the end.
